Investors have 14 days from when bond certificates are issued. This is referred to as a ‘cooling-off’ period. During this time, you can notify us that you wish to no longer proceed with the investment, without any need to explain and without incurring any cost. We will request the monies from the borrower and return them to your Downing account, ready for you to either reinvest in another bond or withdraw to the nominated UK bank account from which the funds were initially paid out.

Please note that this can take up to 30 days to process and, in some cases, longer, depending on the size of your investment.
