You can sign up to the platform by selecting the ‘Sign up’ button in the top right corner of the site. You will then be presented with the option to either register as an ‘Individual’ or as an ‘Entity’ (entities include corporates, charities, and trusts).
At this stage, you will be required to enter some basic information, such as your name, date of birth, and contact details. The next stage will ask you to choose your investor type – this is an important step as it will determine which bonds you can invest in. These are high-risk investments, and not all bonds are suitable for all investors.
The final stage of the registration process will require you to complete a risk test. The purpose of this test is to ensure that you understand what you are investing in and the associated risks.
Once you have completed the registration process, there will be a 24-hour cooling-off period. This is a requirement set out by the FCA, and you will not be able to invest until 24 hours have passed.
If you experience any issues when setting up an account, please contact a member of the team by emailing bonds@downing.co.uk.
